Hi, does anyone know where to buy small wood bases for polymer clay sculptures? I've looked around and I can only find medium and large ones. Do people make their own wood bases?

Paula,

I have several different methods for sculpting eyes depending on what I am trying to achieve in my sculptures. The link below is one of the ways that I sculpt my eyes.

Thank you very much for this tutorial. I had to make a hand for my toy assignment called hand of doom and this was just a thing I needed as I haven't worked with clay much.
Thank you very much!

The "eyes" have it! Is there some tried and true techniques you can provide for successfully rendering realistic human eyes? This skill is absolutely imperative if one expects to recreate a decidedly realistic face that doesn't look like its a cross between a human and an extra terrestrial. Lets face it, if the eyes aren't right, then nothing else matters. If I can acquire this one lacking skill, I believe my sculpting skills would increase exponentially...Thanks again.

This tutorial is right on time. I'm just about to complete my first anotomically correct clay(premo), doll and I've done everything except the hands and the feet. I can't wait to try your technique. I've been using the "Creager's technique" but find it difficult, if not impossible to attempt rolling individual fingers to an already affixed palm. Your technique makes so much more sense. I can't wait to try it. I anticipate finishing my doll soon, now that I'm aware of this technique. Thank you in advance.
